He had the website.
The logo was clean.
Even had a new tagline.
Something about “clarity and confidence.”
He was showing up at networking events. Paying for SEO. Hired a brand consultant.
But no new clients, and worse, no new energy. So he called me. Frustrated. Confused. “I’m doing all the right things. Why isn’t it working?”
I asked him one question, “Can I see your calendar?” Silence. Then, “What do you mean?”
“I mean show me what your week looks like.” “Who are you meeting with?” “Who are you following up with?” “Where are you spending your energy?”
Because your calendar today is a reflection of the future you want tomorrow.
And his calendar? Empty. Or full of the wrong things.
Hours blocked for “brand strategy,” but none for direct outreach. Time set aside for “event prep,” but no follow-up booked. Meetings with vendors, not prospects. Busy, but not forward. We don’t build a business with colors and fonts. We build it with conversations. With follow-ups. With meaningful asks. With repeatable action. So we did a simple shift. We redesigned his week. Made space for daily outreach. Follow-ups. Introductions. Referrals. Content with a call to action.
No magic. Just movement. No brand breakthrough. Just behavior change.
Within four weeks, he landed three new clients. Not because his tagline changed. But because his calendar did.
Want a better business next quarter? Look at next week’s calendar. If it’s not aligned with the future you want, CHANGE IT, before your calendar becomes a graveyard of good intentions.
In all that we do, let us seek wisdom, discipline, courage & justice.
